Pugs and Hugs Rescue is run entirely by a handful of volunteers. Please be patient with us and apply only if you are ready and serious about adopting.

This is not a first come/first serve procedure as we take great care in matching our dogs to prospective homes that will fit each dog. We want the adoptive home to be the “forever” home for our rescues, they need to fit within the home and lifestyle of the family.

Pugs and Hugs Rescue reserves the right to refuse any adoption. Please keep in mind that every decision we make is in the best interest and safety of our dogs and the families we place them with.

What Happens After I Submit the Adoption Application?

• It may take a few weeks or a few days to review and process applications. This is all dependent on the available time of our volunteers.

• Applications that qualify for a home visit and interview will be contacted via email and/or phone.

• We are not able to respond to all applications.

• Please keep in mind that not being selected is not a judgement call on an applicant; it likely means another applicant was the best choice for that dog.
